# Registered Nurse - Oncology/Surgical ICU

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU specializing in oncology and surgical patients, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within established standards. Key responsibilities include promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs, ensuring patient safety and quality compliance, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; preferred Bachelor's Degree. Licensure: Active RN license. Experience: No experience required; 2+ years of ICU experience preferred. Additional: Oncology, Surgical, or ICU bedside experience are advantageous but not mandatory. Professional development opportunities include certification prep (CCRN, OCN, BMTNC) and participation in educational programs. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices. Key Duties Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
