About the position . The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of both external and internal marketing and internal communications. This role owns how the Company shows up to the market and how strategy, culture, and priorities are communicated and reinforced internally. Marketing Strategy & Growth Enablement Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel external marketing strategy, spanning brand, digital, content, communications, and demand generation, aligned with Company’s business objectives and long-term growth strategy. Partner with Business Development, Estimating, and the Leadership Team to support revenue goals through targeted marketing initiatives and cross-functional alignment. Define the marketing metrics that matter and build the reporting to show how marketing drives awareness, pipeline, and revenue. External Brand & Market Presence Own brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and public relations to ensure a strong, consistent, and differentiated market presence. Oversee digital strategy, including website, SEO/SEM, social media, email, CRM, and marketing automation platforms. Develop and manage key external partners, agencies, and industry relationships to extend market reach and capabilities. Internal Brand & Communications Own internal and employer brand: how strategy, culture, and priorities look, sound, and feel across field and office teams, with internal communications as one tool for driving clarity and alignment. Support executive communications, company-wide messaging, major announcements, and strategic narratives to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact. Culture & Ownership Champion Company's core principles and ESOP mindset, translating strategy into clear, compelling internal messaging that reinforces ownership, accountability, and pride in the organization. Leadership & Team Development Serve as a visible, credible member of the leadership team, modeling the culture the role communicates. Lead as a player-coach: set direction and stay close to the work, ready to build, write, and ship alongside the team as the function grows. What you need. To be a hero in this organization, the Vice President of Marketing will have: Extensive brand, marketing, and communications leadership experience, including proven executive leadership and team development capability. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Deep expertise in brand strategy, including corporate and employer brand, digital marketing, and modern marketing technology platforms. Fluency with AI and generative tools in a marketing context, using them to scale creative and analytical work while safeguarding brand quality, accuracy, and voice. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to translate insights into strategy. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influence skills, equally credible in the boardroom and on the jobsite. Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer journeys, and growth strategy; a strategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities. Experience in construction, commercial real estate, or an adjacent B2B industry.
