Welder Supervisor

About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. It is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees. Plan welding, container, fuel cell, and radiator repair workloads to meet production requirements. Assign work, provide technical guidance, and review completed tasks for quality and accuracy. Identify and resolve workflow or production problems and adjust operations to maintain efficiency. Carry out supervisory duties including performance management, training recommendations, leave approval, and participation in hiring and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations, maintain required documentation, and support safe work practices.
