Marketing Assistant Milwaukee, WI | Full-time | On-site | Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM Curious about why one message gets a conversation started and another gets ignored? As a Marketing Assistant in Milwaukee, you will help prepare local activity, speak with visitors at in-person promotions, and bring back the questions people actually ask. This role puts you close to the public as well as the planning work. You will learn a campaign brief, help the team get ready, and explain the message naturally when you meet people. Bring your own perspective Experience from retail, hospitality, student organizations, or volunteering can prepare you well. We want a reliable communicator who enjoys meeting people and can also keep notes and materials organized. Marketing experience is welcome but not required. The work is about clear information and engagement, not making unsupported promises. From the brief to the conversation • Prepare simple materials, schedules, and sign-in supplies for local promotions. • Welcome visitors and explain the campaign or activity in plain language. • Answer common questions and refer anything beyond the brief to a teammate. • Record useful feedback without pressuring anyone to engage. • Help organize materials and share observations after the activity. You will see which part of a message people understand immediately and which part needs a better explanation. That observation has value; the team can use it to adjust materials before the next Milwaukee activity rather than relying only on attendance figures. What you will be taught • How to read a campaign brief and prepare a small activity. • How to speak with new people without sounding scripted. • How to turn guest questions into useful marketing feedback. • How to take ownership of a repeatable part of the campaign. You will also learn the less visible side of a promotion: who approves the materials, how the team prepares for a venue, and what happens to feedback after the event.
