# Procurement Manager (Chemical)

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and transform the procurement function of a growing manufacturing business operating within the chemical industry. This role offers the opportunity to go beyond day-to-day purchasing activities and play a key role in building procurement processes, developing sourcing strategies, and driving operational excellence across the organization. Client Details Our client is a locally established manufacturing company operating in the chemical sector, supplying value-added raw materials and industrial solutions to various industries. As the organization continues its growth and professionalization journey, the company is investing in stronger systems, processes, and strategic capabilities across its supply chain and procurement operations. Description Lead and manage direct raw material procurement activities. Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives. Identify, assess, and onboard alternative local and international suppliers. Negotiate commercial agreements and improve supplier performance. Drive cost optimization and supplier development projects. Establish procurement policies, procedures, and best practices. Build KPI-driven reporting and performance management processes. Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. Support procurement digitalization initiatives and contribute to ERP implementation and development projects. Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Play a key role in shaping the future procurement organization of the company. Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field. Proven procurement experience within manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, or related industries. Strong background in direct raw material sourcing and supplier management. Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement process improvement. Knowledge of international procurement and import processes. Track record of developing alternative supplier networks and delivering cost-saving initiatives. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement digitalization projects. Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
