Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Screening in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Screener in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by screening individuals, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and communicating professionally with patients, visitors, and staff. • 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established visitor management, screening, and access-control procedures. Verify visitor credentials, provide directions, and communicate applicable entry requirements in a professional and courteous manner. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate site personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements An armed guard card or license is required. Baton certification is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
