Daily start and end times will vary based on route completion and business needs. Flatbed freight, sometimes preloaded, no tarp. Lumber trusses and other construction materials. Occasional dry van and box truck work Touch freight will be required. Load, unload, and place materials using a piggyback forklift (Moffett) while following all safety procedures 3 years of CDL-A truck driving experience REQUIRED, previous CDLA flatbed experience is REQUIRED. Previous Moffett experience is preferred. Requirements Driver Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age Must hold a valid Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience An excellent driving record Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment Other Skills and Abilities: Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Minimum 3 years of experience as a truck driver, flatbed experience required Experience with a piggyback Forklift (aka Moffett) preferred but not required Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team Ability to lift and handle packages of various sizes and weights Clean driving record and roadside inspection history Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must have and maintain a verifiable Commercial Class A Driver's License, demonstrated safe driving record, and remain insurable through the company's liability insurance carrier as applicable Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates primarily in a warehouse/vehicle environment with frequent exposure to safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While the offices of NOW Courier are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job will require work beyond these hours and on the weekends.
