Overview Seeking a motivated Junior Estimator with 2–3 years of hands-on estimating experience . In this role, you will work directly on digital takeoffs for comprehensive commercial projects—from concrete structural work and retaining walls to complete commercial landscape builds. If you have a strong foundation in hardscape construction details and digital takeoff software, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Digital On-Screen Takeoffs: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using specialized estimating software (such as Autodesk Construction Cloud / ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools). Hardscape & Concrete Scope Analysis: Review commercial blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications focusing heavily on concrete, retaining walls, pavers, and full-site landscape construction. Cost Estimation & Bidding: Calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to build complete, accurate bid packages for commercial projects. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Gather material pricing, manage quote requests, and maintain supplier relationships. Project Support: Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership throughout the lifecycle of each bid. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 2–3 years of estimating experience specifically within Hardscape, Commercial Landscape, or Concrete Contracting . Technical Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of concrete details, retaining wall installation, drainage, and broad commercial site construction. Software Skills: Proficiency in digital takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Autodesk / ProEst or equivalent dedicated estimating software—not strictly Excel-based). Plan Reading: Proven ability to read and accurately interpret structural, hardscape, and civil blueprints. Mindset: Strong attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a comfort level working in a fast-paced construction business environment.
