# Electrical Estimator

Electrical Estimator Buffalo, NY JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with an established construction management firm in search of an Electrical Estimator to join its Buffalo, NY team! This individual will support commercial and industrial construction projects by developing accurate electrical estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, completing takeoffs, and gathering subcontractor and supplier pricing. Working closely with project managers and other project partners, the Electrical Estimator will play an important role throughout preconstruction, bidding, and the transition of awarded projects into construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who understands electrical construction, enjoys working collaboratively, and can effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements. Complete quantity takeoffs for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, low-voltage, and related electrical systems. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier pricing. Develop project budgets, bid proposals, and cost analyses. Identify value-engineering opportunities and potential cost-saving alternatives. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders throughout preconstruction. Participate in bid reviews, scope clarification, and subcontractor negotiations. Support project handoffs from estimating into construction and operations. Track changes in material pricing, labor costs, and relevant market conditions. Requirements 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or related construction preferred. Associate’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred; comparable industry experience will be considered. Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and NEC requirements. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams. Salary Range $85k - $90k JK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
