Description Technician for 2nd Shift (1pm • 9:45pm Monday • Friday) Quarterly Performance Bonus! Maintains/repairs all types of company owned vehicles, including Gasoline, Diesel, Electric and Propane powered. Trouble shoots and diagnoses mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions, and efficiently repairs the same. Trouble shoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions Diagnoses mechanical malfunctions, determines parts needed and orders through the parts rooms Repairs engines, drive trains, front and rear ends, all air, electrical and hydraulic systems on Company owned equipment Repairs, on a minor and/or emergency basis, parts of bodies, i.e., Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis as determined by Fleet Supervisor M. inspection) to ensure all D.informs supervisor if not immediately repairable Performs other tasks/projects as instructed by Fleet Supervisor including but not limited to delivering trucks to and from other branch locations and picking up parts Adheres to strict safe working practices, Company policies, rules, regulations, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports to supervisor if not immediately correctable High school diploma or GED equivalent ~ Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred ~2+ years of Diesel/Automotive Technician experience ~ In person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required ~ Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude ~ Must supply automotive hand tools (not including heavy duty or diagnostic tools) ~Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude ~ Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack, electric fork-lift/pallet-jack repair experience preferred ~ Able to obtain and maintain Class C or A-CDL, and medical card ~ Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and driving record within MVR policy guidelines ~ Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds Pushing/pulling: up to 100lbs force for turning wrenches, pulling out parts Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Ability to demonstrate or learn to safely handle large trucks in a critically safe and precise manner within very constrained and compact areas A full range of benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance ~Paid time off, paid holidays, and paid parental leave ~ Annual tool reimbursement program ~ Tuition reimbursement program ~ Career development training ~ On-site gym facilities ~ Free beer and beverage gifts throughout the year All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
