# Accounting Manager

One Stop Home Repair

One Stop Home Repair | Orono, Maine One Stop Home Repair is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to take responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of our financial operations. This is not solely a supervisory or strategic position. The Accounting Manager must be able to personally perform and oversee the company’s core accounting work while developing staff, improving processes, and providing leadership with dependable financial information. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, credit-card activity, and general-ledger functions. Lead reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and supporting documentation. Monitor cash flow, aging, financial obligations, discrepancies, and areas of financial risk. Maintain accurate information between QuickBooks Online, Service Fusion, spreadsheets, and other company systems. Supervise and develop assigned accounting staff through clear expectations, training, review, and accountability. Maintain documented procedures, accounting calendars, checklists, and effective internal controls. Explain financial results clearly and participate in executive-level planning and problem-solving. Identify practical improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and business continuity. What We Are Looking For The successful candidate will have demonstrated, recent experience performing full-cycle accounting work, including reconciliations and month-end close. Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and spreadsheets is required. Candidates Must Also Demonstrate Sound accounting judgment and strong attention to detail. The ability to investigate and explain discrepancies. Reliable follow-through and respect for deadlines. Increasing independence when learning company-specific systems. Experience supervising, training, or reviewing accounting staff. Integrity and discretion with confidential financial and employee information. Clear, calm, and respectful communication. Experience in construction, home services, job costing, cash-flow planning, divisional reporting, or Service Fusion is preferred. Candidates should expect a structured interview and a practical, job-related accounting work sample. This position carries meaningful responsibility for protecting the company’s financial picture, supporting its employees, and providing leadership with information it can confidently use.
