Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Position Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in a Med/Surg Surgical setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, compassion, and integrity to deliver high-quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care effectively. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition. Administer prescribed medications safely. Provide age-appropriate care and support basic self-care activities. Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans. Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in care delivery. Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills. Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services for discharge planning. Practice cost-effective resource management. Prioritize patient safety and minimize risks. Commit to lifelong learning in nursing. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Computer literacy. RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
