# Veterinarian NF-05

U.S. Army Medical Command

This position is located at the Lemoore Veterinary Treatment Facility. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Subject matter expert and leader in veterinary medical care, providing comprehensive and high-quality animal health services to support the animal health mission readiness and public health of the military community.
Contributes to the analysis, development, and integration of long-range strategic plans for veterinary medical services.
Provide technical supervision and mentorship to a team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff at large installations
Advises and collaborates with management team on all aspects of veterinary medical operations, including budget management, resource allocation, facility maintenance, and manpower management.
Ensures strict adherence to all applicable DOD, state, national, and international regulations, and implements quality assurance programs.
Prepares comprehensive reports on veterinary medical activities, program outcomes, and budget performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e., Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA). Possess a valid unrestricted state license to practice veterinary medicine (may be a valid state license from any US state). Official transcripts must be provided prior to time of hire. Unofficial college/university transcripts may be uploaded for initial qualification screening. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess active United States Department of Agriculture/ Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS) accreditation. Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 45 lbs and long periods of standing, restraining, kneeling, reaching and sitting, etc. Must have use of fingers; Both hand and both legs are required; Position requires exposure to intermittent excessive noise. Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
