McCarthy is looking for team members that have a proven commitment to safety and can be committed to a full-time schedule in Bismarck, ND . The ideal candidate is local to the Bismarck area, or must be willing to travel to the location of the project site. Responsibilities The Candidate must be experienced with both shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG). Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on civil construction projects. Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in welding preferred Must have appropriate pipe certifications Familiarity with shop fabrication techniques and strategies required Experience using a cutting torch Must pass a 6G position welding test for carbon steel pipe Must have knowledge of Process Piping Systems/Isometric Drawings' Must be comfortable working in the prefabrication shop as well as out in the field. Qualifications General knowledge of construction principles/processes required. Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships in a team setting. 6G Pipe Certified Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
