About The Job The Analyst • Cargo Business Intelligence role supports operational and strategic decision-making for cargo revenue recovery through data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. This position collects, models, interprets, and analyzes disputes and collections data to identify trends, explain variances, and determine the root causes behind recurring cases. The role supports resolution of disputes and claims, participates in customer-facing collection calls, and partners with stakeholders across the organization to deliver actionable insights, maintain high-quality data, and develop reporting tools that support data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities Maintain and improve data quality by cleaning, updating, and dispute, claims, and collections datasets to ensure accurate and reliable analytical outcomes. Extract, analyze, and interpret billing, payment, operational, and case data to provide actionable business insights that support strategic initiatives. Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that make dispute, claims and receivable performance visible to Cargo Leadership and enable informed decision making. Analyze trends, variances, and performance metrics across disputes, collections and claims portfolio to identify improvement opportunities and support business performance discussions. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to participate in customer-facing collection calls, translating account level analysis into clear positions on outstanding balances. Support business intelligence projects through data modeling, reporting development, and analytics execution under established guidelines. Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and business intelligence techniques to solve business problems and enhance performance monitoring. Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting processes, analytics methodologies, and data governance practices. Note: This is a Chicago-based hybrid role with in-office requirements 50% of the time. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related analytical discipline Bachelor's degree or equivalent analytical experience Experience working with data analysis, statistical analysis, and business intelligence reporting Knowledge of data visualization, data modeling, database management, and data mining Strong skills in business analysis, requirements management, and communicating data-driven insights Proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Preferred Qualifications Experience with programming or scripting for data analysis Exposure to predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, or machine learning concepts Experience working with large data sets, data warehousing, or big data environments Experience developing dashboards and executive-level reporting solutions Experience with Salesforce or a comparable case management platform Experience with accounts receivable, billing, order-to-cash concepts, including short pays, aging, adjustments, and write-offs Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security. The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
