# Senior Municipal Engineer

Houston Engineering, Inc.

Plan and design civil engineering projects for both private and public entities. Prepare engineering documents, including equipment schedules, cost estimates, materials, etc. in accordance with the latest governing codes. Effectively manage budgets, schedules, and timely completion of projects. Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, and preconstruction meetings. Prepare funding applications and preliminary engineer reports. Oversee work-in-progress and monitor outstanding accounts receivable. Lead personnel assigned to projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related Engineering field. 10 plus years applicable experience preferred Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within six months Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience with project management and budgeting Capability of supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
