IT Specialist (PLCYPLN)

This position serves as a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OSIO), Service Delivery Staff, Enterprise Portfolio Management, IT Portfolio Management located in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is planning, resourcing, and executing policy and procedures within the scope of the components purpose and functions, resolving conflicts that arise, integrating and coordinating the work. The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) GS-2210-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversees the planning, review, and coordination of agency-wide IT acquisitions to ensure technical requirements and appropriate approvals are satisfied. Serves as an IT portfolio manager, ensuring IT investments and projects are aligned with organizational mission requirements, strategic plans, and enterprise priorities. Provides oversight and coordination of major IT projects and programs, monitoring project performance, milestones, resources, risks, and deliverables. Analyzes statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements and determines necessary changes to existing IT directives, policies, and procedures. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, Federal agencies, OMB, the Federal CIO Council, vendors, and other organizations on IT planning, investment management, enterprise architecture, and technology initiatives. To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), at GS-2210-14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Managing IT acquisitions, investments, and/or financial resources by providing oversight of IT budgets. Providing technical advice and recommendations to senior management on IT investment and acquisition decisions. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by the 10/07/2026 of this announcement.
