# Staff Accountant

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant II who enjoys working across a variety of accounting functions and thrives in an environment where they can contribute to the integrity of financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, audits, and special projects while working directly with the Controller as part of a growing accounting team. What You Will Be Doing Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Support monthly billing processes and perform audits to help ensure accuracy and completeness. Post bank transactions to the general ledger across multiple accounts. Assist in identifying, investigating, and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Process payroll and assist with monthly financial reporting activities. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audits. Assist with ad hoc reporting requests and special accounting projects as needed. What We Need From You To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-4 years of accounting experience. Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, or year-end close activities. Experience with accounts payable and other day-to-day accounting functions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, conditional formulas, reference functions, and data analysis tools. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. All-Star Skillset Experience supporting payroll processing. Exposure to financial reporting and reporting package preparation. Experience supporting external audit activities. Ability to identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.
