We are currently seeking a Shop Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in rebuilding and preparing equipment that keeps our customers productive. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and prepare crushing, screening, and aggregate equipment in a fast-paced shop environment. Role Overview Diagnose, repair, maintain, and rebuild crushing, screening, and related heavy equipment in the shop. Prepare new and used equipment for delivery, ensuring it meets quality and safety standards. Support field service operations by ensuring equipment is properly inspected, serviced, and ready for deployment. Develop technical skills while working with experienced technicians and industry-leading equipment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair crushing, screening, and related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify repair needs. Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and reassemble equipment and components. Prepare new and used equipment for delivery, including setup, testing, and quality checks. Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and related documentation. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Collaborate with teammates to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and safely. Support field service operations and assist with troubleshooting as needed. What We're Looking For Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a customer-focused mindset, and a willingness to learn. Preferred qualifications: Experience working on heavy equipment, crushing and screening equipment, diesel-powered machinery, or related industrial equipment. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation. Ability to prioritize work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while remaining a team player. Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform the physical demands of the position. Technical school certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
