# HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY)

Bureau of Naval Personnel

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the PERSONNEL INFORMATION AND MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
You will review, evaluate, and make recommendations on routine, controversial, and complex cases.
You will analyze, research, and interpret past and present regulations, policies, and precedent decisions pertinent to the accomplishment of work assignments.
You will conduct spot checks of the document listings and make corrections as appropriate.
You will provide assistance to service members and command staff/codes in the correction of personnel records and send an official response with details regarding the corrective action taken on specific requests.
You will establish and maintain office files, logs, manuals, listings, regulations, historical files, etc.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Utilizing knowledge of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain personnel service records; 2) Researching information in records and databases in order to respond to inquiries regarding human resources issues; 3) Utilizing automated systems to create and maintain records; and 4) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to interact with leadership and personnel at all levels.
