Riley Blake Designs

Hours: Full-time Monday–Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM (flexible) About Riley Blake Designs (Lehi, Utah) Riley Blake Designs produces and distributes premium fabrics and sewing notions worldwide. As a B2B wholesaler, we produce and ship high-quality fabrics and sewing supplies to independent quilt shops, manufacturers, and retailers. Our goal is to inspire and connect creative individuals with innovative, top-quality products. We emphasize creativity while delivering on results. Position Overview Reporting to the CTO, we're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented analyst to help us get more value from our data. You'll be the go-to person for numbers, reports, and answers — building reports in NetSuite and Tableau, writing SQL, and turning messy data into clear, accurate answers. You'll also help us apply modern AI tools to practical problems, such as automating repetitive workflows and structuring product data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, picks up new software quickly, and has a positive, can-do attitude. You don't need to be an expert in everything on day one — you need to be sharp, genuinely curious, and someone who finishes what they start. We'll teach the rest. Responsibilities Data analysis — the core of the role Quickly develop a strong understanding of the fabric industry, our B2B model, and the structure of our data. Become fluent in NetSuite, our ERP — build saved searches and reports and extract data to answer coworkers' questions. Field data requests from teams across the company — including inventory levels, sales by collection, and product performance — and turn them into clear, accurate answers. Maintain and extend our Tableau dashboards and reports. Write and adapt SQL queries against our databases. AI & Automation Help build internal tools and automations using modern AI platforms — examples on the roadmap include automatic tagging for our fabric collections, converting catalog PDFs into clean, structured product data, and assistants that help answer common questions. Help maintain the documentation and knowledge base that keep those tools accurate as the business evolves. Turn repetitive workflows into reliable automations, then document them so they outlast any one person. Special projects Pitch in on highimpact company initiatives as they arise — current examples include a website revamp and systems consolidation projects as the company grows. Qualifications Your ability to learn quickly matters. The strongest candidate will demonstrate that they learn quickly and finish what they start. Strong attention to detail — you notice when a number is off before anyone tells you. Quick to grasp how data is structured: tables, joins, the shape of a database. Familiar with SQL basics, or able to show us you'd pick them up fast. Able to adapt to and learn new software quickly. Comfortable using AI tools in your work, and curious about where they help and where they fall short. A clear communicator: most of the people asking you questions won't be technical. Nice to have (not required) Python or other scripting experience Tableau or another BI tool NetSuite or another ERP system Side projects of any kind — evidence you build things counts for a lot Exposure to retail, ecommerce, or inventory data You do not need a CS degree or years of experience. If you've taught yourself difficult things before, we want to hear from you! How to Apply Please send your resume and cover letter. In your cover letter, please describe a time when you taught yourself something challenging and include links to any side projects or portfolios you're proud of. Why Join Riley Blake Designs?
