# General Manager

Job Summary: General Managers are responsible for overseeing store employees, providing direction, and implementing operational strategies to achieve excellent service. As a general manager you should treat all employees equally and utilize a positive attitude to develop a supportive work environment. You must ensure smooth day-to-day operations while exemplifying Tailwind's mission and values to meet the needs of all customers. You will work closely with the operations management team here at Tailwind to maintain compliance regulations at your location and hold your employees accountable to high performance standards. Key Responsibilities: Consult with the operations management team frequently to provide updates and inquiries. Work closely with the Human Resources department to complete various tasks. Ensure that all staff members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Develop an organized schedule weekly to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Responsible for monitoring as well as taking action to ensure food quality service standards are met. Manage cash deposits and change orders through the bank accurately. Review and approve invoices. Process customer refunds and conduct customer receipt research through the POS system to minimize discrepancies. Regulate temperatures, judge appearance as well as taste of products, check preparation methods to define quality. Confirm employees hours worked and process necessary time entry edits for payroll purposes. Regulate tipsharing in the POS system to ensure fair distribution among employees. Ensure safe, responsible and legal serving of all alcoholic beverages. Ensure that equipment is maintained as outlined in the restaurant safety and preventive maintenance program. Ensure stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, initiating orders, and retrieving supplies. Qualifications/Skills : Successful experience managing staff and business operations in the Food and Beverage industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Utilize a thoughtful approach to decision making and consider input from various sources. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to pass a background check. Must be 18+ years of age. Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Work some weekends, evenings, and holidays. Have reliable transportation and ability to be punctual. Additional Expectations: Adhere to Tailwind policies, practices and procedures Adhere to all existing and future airport regulations Performs other duties as assigned/required Avoid any behavior or remarks that could damage the reputation of colleagues, the airport, or Tailwind Concessions Follow safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of safety gear to prevent injuries Activity Requirements: Physical Effort: Normal physical mobility and agility (reach above the head, bend, or stoop) Normal physical strength to handle 50+ pound objects, taking frequency into consideration Normal ability to stand for various durations of time Normal dexterity of hands and fingers for various purposes Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot/perform repetitive motions while maintaining good balance and coordination Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning, and pulling 2. Mental Effort: Normal concentration and memory Normal complexity of decision making 3.
