[Job Radar](https://jobradar.live/) / [Jobs](https://jobradar.live/ilanlar) / Platform Engineer for Data Visualization Active On-site New York, NY, United States Posted · 08.02.2017 SmartRecruiters (US) # Platform Engineer for Data Visualization Options Group Job Requirements:  At least 3 years of experience in web-based visualization development  Ability and strong interest in communication through creative visualizations to audiences with varying degrees of technical sophistication  Experience in developing with JavaScript visualization libraries as well as Tableau or other data visualization platforms to create interactive data visualizations and exploration capabilities for end users is a must  Python programming experience is a plus  Strong communication and presentation skills and a willingness to collaborate with others is a must  Experience or demonstrated interest in Hadoop and other big data technologies is a plus  Excel VBA and Excel plugin development a plus  Familiarity with Equity markets or financial industry is a plus Aperio Platform Engineers design and build solutions for processing big and unstructured data sets at Point72. Our team works closely with portfolio managers and data scientists to understand the potential business value of data sets and ultimately build data processing pipelines around those data sources.
