At Glasco Heating & Air Conditioning, we’re looking for a Lead HVAC Installer who takes pride in craftsmanship, organization, and getting the job done right the first time. You’ll lead residential installation projects from start to finish, work closely with apprentices and helpers, and make sure each customer receives a clean, professional installation. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the jobsite, solving problems as they come up, and helping less-experienced team members improve their skills. What You’ll Do Lead residential HVAC installation and replacement projects from start to finish. Install furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, and related equipment. Review job scopes, equipment, materials, and customer expectations before work begins. Ensure crews have the tools, equipment, and materials needed for each installation. Complete refrigerant piping, condensate, venting, electrical connections, controls, and related installation work. Perform equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and final system checks. Diagnose and resolve installation issues in the field. Ensure work meets manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. Lead and mentor apprentices and installation helpers. Assign tasks and help ensure the crew works safely and efficiently. Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process. Protect customers’ homes and maintain clean, organized jobsites. Complete accurate job documentation, photos, and required paperwork. Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, sales, service, and operations teams when needed. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and installation equipment. Participate in ongoing technical and safety training. What We’re Looking For CT S, D, or B HVAC License 4+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred. Previous experience leading HVAC installations or small crews. Strong knowledge of residential heating and cooling systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and job specifications. Experience with system startup, commissioning, and quality control. Ability to lead and mentor apprentices and helpers. Strong communication and customer service skills. Commitment to safe, code-compliant, high-quality workmanship. EPA certification required. Applicable Connecticut HVAC license or credentials preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Why Work at Glasco?
