Put your accounting expertise to work in manufacturing. We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who takes ownership, follows through, and enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers. In this role, you'll independently manage assigned accounting processes, help deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, and build your knowledge of manufacturing, project, and cost accounting. You'll work across general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial analysis, and tax compliance while helping improve our systems and processes. What You'll Do General Ledger & Month-End Close
• 60% Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and month-end adjustments. Own assigned balance sheet and subledger reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items. Complete assigned month-end and year-end close activities accurately and on schedule. Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for assigned accounts. Review transaction coding and bring unusual or unresolved items to leadership's attention. Accounting Analysis & Reporting
• 25% Prepare recurring financial and operational reports and analyze account activity, trends, and variances. Support inventory, fixed asset, prepaid, lease, project, and other accounting processes as assigned. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation. Provide historical data and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting. Tax Compliance
• 10% Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. Review tax rates and calculations for accuracy in the accounting system. Prepare personal property tax returns and coordinate timely payments. Respond to tax inquiries and support tax audits. Monitor relevant tax changes and help incorporate them into company processes. Controls, Systems & Process Improvement
• 5% Follow GAAP, company policies, and internal controls while maintaining accurate, organized records. Identify ways to improve accounting processes, reporting, and ERP data quality. Participate in ERP, automation, and other Finance & Accounting projects. Collaborate with teammates and support additional accounting priorities as needed. What You Bring A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or at least four years of accounting experience. Public accounting or corporate accounting experience preferred. Proficiency with an integrated ERP system; Epicor experience is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Accurate typing and data entry skills, including 10-key by touch. The ability to work independently, investigate issues, and communicate clearly when support or decisions are needed.
