Unit: CATH LAB Job Summary: Work Schedule: FT Days (call required 9-14 days a month)) Position Summary and Job Responsibilities:-Delivers professional nursing care to all patients presenting to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology and EP Lab • Follows standard of care utilizing Nursing process in delivery of care • Maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. • Responsible for the delivery of nursing care for all patients coming to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology and EP Lab • Performs nursing assessment/diagnosis/care plan/implementation of treatment/evaluation of treatment for all patients • Administers treatment/medication/procedures within scope of practice • Participates in coordination of care with Cardiac Cath Lab Management, departmental staff, physicians and ancillary services. Requirements: Required Job Qualifications include:-Current RN license from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners required. • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required • Minimum 1 year Cardiac Cath Lab experience-Strongly prefer basic computer skills to process order entry and retrieve data. • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds. • Possess the ability to work as member of a team or independently as the needs require and to prioritize responsibilities All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
