We're seeking a Part-Time/On-Call Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs in our alternative education environment. Working alongside our Special Education team, you'll help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning experience that empowers students to reach their individual goals.This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact while gaining experience in a unique educational setting. This position provides on-call support to both our Phoenix and Glendale locations . Depending on staffing needs, you may be asked to provide coverage at either location on different workdays. You will not be expected to work at both locations within the same workday. Position Overview Locations: Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona Pay: $17.00–$19.50 per hour Schedule: Part-time/on-call; hours and workdays will vary based on campus staffing needs Work Location: Assigned to either the Phoenix or Glendale campus for the scheduled workday Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to connect with students to motivate them in a positive manner. Ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality. Working knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, and best practices for supporting students with disabilities. Education and Experience: High school diploma or the equivalent required, and Two years of college [60 units], or A.A. Degree [or higher] or Passing score on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment. Paraprofessional experience preferred. Previous experience working with students, particularly in a special education setting, is preferred.
