This is a full-time position with a 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. schedule. Flexible scheduling, including weekend and holiday availability, is required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Follows policies and practices that ensure consistency with current standards promulgated by and appropriate local, state, and federal regulatory bodies. Identifies and reports deviations from safe practices and any risk management issues. Is competent in acting in emergency situations based on Safety Manual, Emergency Preparedness and other policies. Complies with Mather Code of Conduct, policies, Compliance Program, and all applicable laws and regulations in performance of one’s job duties; reports all known and suspected violations to his/her supervisor or manager, Mather Compliance Officer, a Human Resources representative, or the confidential employee helpline. Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process. Provides input for the development of a care plan/service plan. Implements interventions established in the care plan at the direction of the licensed staff. Performs personal care for residents, as needed, i.e. , bathing, dressing, etc. Understands and implements the principles of infection control and prevention; complies with company policies and procedures and wears PPE as directed. Utilizes and complies with company policies, practices, and procedures to promote a culture of safety and employee and resident safety. Documents care per documentation policy and standards. Applies the concepts of the Mather Wellness Model and the 3 A’s in the care of residents, Achievement, Autonomy, and Affiliation. Reports of a resident change of condition to the licensed nurse. Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the company Mission, Vision, and Values, and Nextraordinary philosophy. Uses a customer
• focused approach to problem solving philosophy. Maintains a courteous and professional manner through interactions with others. Communicates with co-workers, residents and families in a timely manner. Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements. Responsible for upholding resident rights. Interactions with employees, residents, resident representatives, and guests will reflect our commitment to inclusivity. Incorporates fiscal responsibility through the provision of efficient, safe and cost-effective practices in the delivery of care. Participates in orientation of new employees. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSRequired: Current Certification as a Nursing Assistant. High School Graduate. Completion of Nursing Assistant Certification program. CPR/AED certification Preferred: Basic knowledge of infection control and safety principles. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate good body mechanics. The hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, certifications, years of experience, geographic location, and current market conditions.
