# Maintenance Technician

Company Description Sortimo of North America Inc. (SNA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sortimo International GmbH, based in Germany. Sortimo is market leader in Germany and Europe for providing van equipment to trades and fleets. After twenty years in business, SNA has established Sortimo as a premium brand for van upfits and organization in the US market having equipped many well-known fleets. Sortimo of North America is searching for a CNC Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine preventive maintenance on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Clinching machinery to minimize production downtime and ensure precise operation. Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance routines including lubrication of spindle bearings and linear guides, coolant checks, and filter replacements. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures using multimeters, schematics, and diagnostic software. Repair & Replacement: Dismantle defective machines to replace worn-out components, repair ball screws, align axes, and service tool changers. Calibration & Testing: Perform geometric accuracy tests, spindle runout checks, and test runs to restore machine tolerances. Documentation: Log maintenance activities, track spare parts usage, and record machine repair histories in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Tech preferred. 5+ years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience working directly with CNC machine tools. Strong grasp of electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, PLC controls, and mechanical power transmission. Proficiency reading blueprint schematics (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic). Advanced mechanical aptitude and precision measurement tool competency. Physical stamina and dexterity for handling machinery and materials. Certifications in CNC programming or machining (optional but beneficial). Ability to stand/walk for long shifts, work in loud factory settings, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Safety precautions, such as wearing protective gear, are essential.
